Topic: no clear clean install

hey all
I downloaded the newest version: 1.2.20
when installing on the second page(permissions), it is not clear what to . when permissions are wrong, i get a very wide width button with unreadble text.

installed previous version 1.2.17 to find out

back to version 1.2.20 tried to install Extensions. When clicking on ext nothing happens

have tried with 1.2.17 and everything installs

1. just set the right permissions. Can you take a screenshot on anything that looks weird?

2. Did you click on details and then installed? Did the page load too long?

permissions are 755 for the cache directory...as anders says, paste the error or screenshot so we can see it.

from the 1.2.17 i know that it was the permissions.

it is just that when someone new does a fresh install he/she can not see what is wrong.

i think it's a user problem in this case -- if you extract as user "foo" but your web server is running as "bar", you'll need to fix permissions.

I don't believe svn will recognize permissions if we added chmod 755 ./cache (etc).

Don't really get what the issue is, but a similar report is available at openld.org.

The text on the button is supposed to be as readable as any other button text and I didn't see any error in the extension section.

which browser do you use? Take a screenshot and upload it here
